Here's some ideas for staving off illegal immigration. First off, the primary way would be just not to hire them. It may be cheap labor in the construction, landscaping, or agriculture business, but think about what it's costing you on the back end. Bilingual printed signs, translators, taxpayer funded medical benefits, uninsured drivers getting in accidents, illegals tying up the taxpayer funded court systems, the list goes on and on. So it's simple, you don't hire them, they don't make money, you refuse to help them with welfare or charity. Eventually they move on to another country, or even better, they go home.
Next, if they did happen to get a job from some liberal company, simply refuse to help them. If you're a small business owner, just refuse to deal with them. When in doubt, make them prove their citizenship. I don't accept Mexican money. Home Depot might, but I don't. Sorry vato, this store does not accept pesos.
Let's prove to our fellow citizens that we will not tolerate it. Make it known your stance on illegals. Write to your liberal newspaper and tell them. Write your congressman. Out a sticker on your car. If they can have Mexican flags hanging from their rearview mirrors, I can have a sticker that says 'America is for legal citizens only'.
Put up an American flag. If your neighbors have a Nicaruaga flag, you better have your own flag up.
Don't buy products made in Mexico. That includes pot, you stoners.

Ben if you an I can figure it out so easy, then why can't congress. Do you think they are even trying? I mean we are not exactly Harvard types yet we see the solution very easily.
It is really easy to tell if someone is illegal. What ever someone could say about Home Depot, i don't think they have many illegal workers there. Why is that? If a huge company like Home Depot can avoid hiring illegal aliens then why is it supposedly so hard for some.
I'll tell you why because they want us to subsidise their business. I am still trying to repair my house after the hurricane. One of the main reasons I am not finished yet is I won't let any illegal workers do any work at my house. It is costing me more money but I would not have it any other way. If I can do it everybody else can too. They just don't want to.
The only way to go at this is on the demand side like you say and start putting people in jail for hiring undocumented people. If we do that they will go home on their own and we won't even have to pay to deport them. They are just here for work. No work = No Stay.
That being said i would rather have some of the Aliens that want to work than the Dyed in the wool Americans we have that don't want to work.
You know. I could probably sum it up in one word. Money.
Politicians just want to give these illegals whatever they want to buy their votes, so they stay in power, and do what they want. Just that simple.
