So it's 2:49 in the afternoon, and I'm working on my shrink audit. I'm in the training room checking the shrink plan worksheets and my store manager, Laz, asks me what time I leave. I told him 9 minutes. He says 'Give me 9 minutes of your time.' Then he takes me into the HR office and administers the standardized questions for Department Supervisor. Being somewhat unexpected, I may have not answered all the questions to the best of my ability, but I think I did fair. Laz knows my abilities, and he told me in the interview I'm very talented and I will go far. I still have no idea what department they want to give me. But apparently I'll be finding out by Tuesday what the good word is on my upcoming promotion. I'm excited, and quite anxious, but I'll try to stay calm and focused.
Bonus points to the person that can tell me the joke that this post's title came from.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about lumber. But I could live with that.
