During a conversation with Carrie, we came across the topic of fuses. Houses have been using circuit breakers since maybe the 70's or 80's. So why has there never been a car that's used circuit breakers? They still have fuses. All of them. It would make so much more sense.

Because imperfections in the road that send bumps and rattles through the chassis to our collective ass would trip the breakers. Fuses are more resistant to viberation. Plus eventually breakers go bad and they would take up too much room in the glove box for the different size replacements you would need. Is this answer long winded enough for you?
