I Hate Checks

Why do people still write checks in a retail store environment? These days, when you open a bank account, they give you a debit/credit card. There is no logical reason to write a check when you could use a check card. Old people like to write checks. Idiots. People buying for their businesses like to write checks. Idiots. Checks are for mailing away to pay bills. Then again, you can do that all online these days with your...you guessed it, credit card! So that leaves one possible reason to write a check. To mail to your grandkids when it's their birthday. Other than than, stop it! Use your damn card. Stupid old people afraid of electronic signatures and such. And what about the people that say they don't have their debit card... How the hell do you forget your debit card, but have your checkbook? Most people keep their cards in their purse or wallet. So how the hell do you have a checkbook, but not your card??? Is there something I don't understand?
